Isle of California, 1971–72

Commissioned by Geordie Hormel, of Hormel Meats, and painted onto the exterior wall of Village Recording Studio in West LA, "Isle of California" is the most famous Fine Arts Squad mural, and best preserved. Victor Henderson calls it "the Earthquake Painting," and it depicts the aftermath of a seismic cataclysm that has relocated the coast an undisclosed but obviously significant distance into the south west.
